Century Galaxy Group held the business review meeting for the first half of 2020
Century Galaxy Group (CGG)’s first half year business review meeting of 2020 was held on July 11th through an online video conference. Facing the global epidemic challenge, CGG has actively explored new businesses and exceeded the sales target of the first half of the year. Other than Beijing headquarters, affiliates of Shanghai, Shandong, Nanjing, Shenzhen and Washington D.C. also joined the online conference.
Ms. Meiling Guo, the Chairperson of CGG, made a speech of the group business strategy. She predicted that the fields of “health, beauty, and happiness" as well as the application of Internet, artificial intelligence, 5G, biotechnology will be of great potential in the future. Following the "Healthy China 2030" plan of the China government, Ms. Guo said that CGG will focus more on the medical prevention field. In terms of investment strategy, Ms. Guo shared a dumbbell-shaped development strategy focusing on investing in early stage projects and pre-IPO stage ones.

Ms. Guo said that CGG has entered to its Strategy 3.0 era with talent upgrading, and is going to make more Impact Investments, like one of its portfolio companies Yi Sheng Dao Jia, a Chinese O2O health massage service provider, which employs the disabled and provides hundreds of millions of RMB for their income every year.
In the first half of the year, CGG invested in two companies, SNYA company, a Chinese medical automation tech provider, and Haier Home Healthcare, the home medical platform of China manufacturer giant Haier group.
CGG took enterprise social responsibility as an important part of the group. In February, during the COVID-19 epidemic, the group Chairperson Ms. Guo led a 275 medical professional team to fight against the virus in the front line in Wuhan. Also, CGG donated medical goods worth of dozens of millions of RMB to the domestic epidemic area. At the same time, CGG donated 30,000 masks to help Argentina. In April, CGG established Beijing Meiling Foundation and launched the “Meiling Cup” China University Public Welfare Creative Competition with China’s Wuxi Lingshan Charity Foundation.
Regarding CGG-owned overseas business, AC Aircontrols GmbH, a German R&D medical technology design company, was selected by the German Government as one of the three R&D teams to support government in designing respiration medical device to manage the COVID-19 cases. In April, CGG-owned German information medicine company Regumed launched a new product Bicom Body Check 2. Also, in February, CGG-owned American company THERA Wellness released THERA Wellness Device. Both of these devices are designed to address health problems of individuals through complementary methods.
At last, group President Zhao Qi made a report on the sales performance of CGG’s industrial sector in the first half of 2020.
