Enable 700 million employees of enterprises enjoy professional health management services
Recently, 7 ministries and commissions, including the Office of the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee and National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China, jointly issued the "Notice on the Construction of Healthy Enterprises" and the “Specifications for the Construction of Healthy Enterprises (Trial)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Specification"). The “Specification" puts forward that it is necessary to establish a health management service system for all employees in the enterprise, and it is particularly?important to establish a health check-up system, formulate an annual health check-up plan for employees, and keep employees’ health records. At the same time, employees' health assessments should be carried out. Based on the assessment results, the classified health management and guidance can be implemented to reduce the risks of occupational and chronic diseases.
According to the data in the 2018 White Paper on Workplace Health of Chinese Employees, in 2018, China's working population was 770 million, 90% of whom are enterprise employees (about 700 million), accounting for more than 50% of the total population in China. However, 37.6% of these employees did not have physical check-up benefits, and 26% of the enterprises providing physical check-ups lack follow-up health management services after physical check-ups.
With China's economy turning to high-quality development from high-speed development, industrialization, urbanization, aging problem, the continuous changes in occupational disease spectrum, ecological environment and the constant changes in lifestyle have brought new occupational health problems. Employees are in a complex situation in which multiple disease threats coexist and a number of health-related influencing factors are involved. In order to make that enterprises effectively carry out the responsibility of safeguarding the health of employees, shape good corporate culture, and ensure the physical and mental health of employees in an all-round way, seven national ministries and commissions jointly issued the "Regulation".
Employees are not only the creators of corporate wealth but also the contributors to social wealth, therefore, they are closely related to the economic development and construction of the whole society. The health level of employees determines the healthy development of the society and the happiness of millions of families. To implement the construction specifications of healthy enterprises is to improve the employees' health literacy and sense of gain, which can lay a solid foundation for achieving the national strategy for a well-off society for all.
