“Meinian Onehealth·Brave Team” Blew the Horn of Dream
On June 20, 2015 China Rally around Taklimakan (International) officially opened the curtain in Bayangol Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture of Xinjiang Province, famous as “First stop of beautiful southern Xinjiang” and Shuo County. The competition period of this rally is 13 days and the rally will first cross Mount Tianshan and starts the long journey from southern Xinjiang to Northern Xinjiang around Taklimakan.

The theme of this rally around Taklimakan is “seeking hero dream on silk road and racing around Taklimakan”. There are 143 autos and 22 motorcycles signing up to join in the rally. The scale with 308 people’s participation is just second to world first cross-country racing – Dakar Rally. The rally around Taklimakan has been a strong performer in Asian-Pacific regions and other intercontinental competitions.

The racing driver Guo Meiling participated in China Rally around in 2011 and 2012 and she won the second place of 2012 China Rally around Taklimakan Motorcycle ATV Group and the champion of woman group; In 2014, she established Meinian Onehealth·Perfect China·Brave Team. She drove cross-country auto race and joined in China Rally around Taklimakan, ranking 22th with a good performance. So she successfully transferred to a racing driver in both motorcycle and auto.
This year she will drive offroad racing and return to the competition site around Taklimakan. She brings healthy and brave auto race concepts to the competition and becomes a beautiful “desert rose” of Rally around Taklimakan. It’s worth mentioning that Zhou Yong who achieved the best performance of Chinese racing drivers in Dakar Rally in record changed his role with Guo Meiling. In Dakar Rally, Guo Meiling accompanied Zhou Yong the whole journey as his spiritual master and this time, Zhou Yong became the team manager of Meinian Onehealth and escorted for Guo Meiling. Many other racing drivers ridiculed that the combination of “China motor racing No.1 man” and “desert rose” shall not be looked down.

At the day of opening ceremony, “Meinian Onehealth·Brave Team” was led by Guo Meiling and mobile vehicle for physical examination entered the campsite, which provided racing drivers and staff with competition security service. The staff of Bazhou Meinian Onehealth formed cheering squad for cheering and encouragement. When Guo Meiling drove No. 163 auto climbed the departure platform, the motorcade fans below the platform shouted the slogan of the motorcade, “Bravery comes from health!” The on-site host was unable to disguise his emotion and claimed he was a fan of Guo Meiling, too. The first ATV woman driver in the history of rally around Taklimakan and she brought the healthy and brave concepts for auto race. So she can be said very special in rally.
After the departure ceremony, next was the qualifying of the first day. The terrain of the 11km short track for the rally was fickle, which made the driver and the auto had a close running-in to find a suitable rhythm. Guo Meiling’s No. 163 auto took 12 minutes and 12 seconds to finish the qualifying. She and the navigator Zhao Kai completed the journey according to the plan and gained an ideal position for departure.
Let’s make blessings for this healthy and brave motorcade to win victory in the first battle in the first day of the official competition and run its special style. Let “desert rose” burst into boom with more flavor in rally around Taklimakan.
